""The funk was flaming, out of control It was so entertaining, when the boogie started to explode I heard somebody say (Burn, baby, burn) Bisco inferno (Burn, baby, burn) Burn the mother down""

__ Mescaline In The Mountains __

I would love to share the experience of this 2 day second installment of Bisco Inferno but there's so much behind the scenes at this magical natural setting. It was of course an extremely psychedelic situation and the music was fire. Canoe and hiking in the day at 'Cache La Poudre' (catch the powder in french; or reference to cocaine if you enjoy Coca Cola) and insanity at night. This was when the Mish's restaurants and diners didn't sell their trendy little soy cheeseburgers for $14 and $10 for a beer. But seriously, the vibe, for us, was pure magic....great people and staff. This retired mechanic from Ft. Collins installed 2 new tires as well as new brake pads on my 4Runner for only $200. Colorado peeps are kind to the core.

This night has a lot of completion songs from the night prior. As a single show when you jump on tour might be a tad frustrating(I guess) but when everyone has been there for both shows it adds new breadth to the Inferno.

[A Pile] (nuggets of the night / mind-blast / take notes)

Shem-Rah Boo ~> (extremely well played, clean and focused)

Spacebird ~> (great last 6 minute jam!)

B&C(1)~> (from big tempo mountain jam to cool, calm and collective atmospheric stoner blues back to a great Barber/Magner complimentary jam and off to a nice segue into a terrific 'Tunnel')

The Tunnel, (surprise of the night, a fiery version with Barberino in full capacity)

Sven, ( the jam, more importantly, at the 6 minute-ish mark they engage in that good 'ole minimalist DnB jive with Magner playing the solo roles with tasty and soft synth sounds which fit like a puzzle...."Faith Jamming" very fun up up and away tension and release ensemble improv for the final segment...it ain't no Nov. 1 2001 Sven but great all the same)

Frog Legs~> (the sheer quality of the ''Froglegs~>Helicopters'' in the encore is fantastic.)

Nuffer ~> perfect adios.

[B Pile] (Very Good to Excellent)

Spraypaint (1st)~> ( a definitive victory)

IRW (smooth like strawberry ice cream)

Sound 1, (I love this version, at around 6 mins in the dance mobile kicks and plucks it's way into the B&C ending but not before a little disco jam inviting a great intensity of happiness) 2002 Sound 1's are generally the finest.

Vassillios(><)~>(imo, Brownie and Mr. Mags save this song. It was to be an average, non-inspiring version until the great final 5 minutes and before that it was simply the motions with a cool pedal here and there until Marc really puts his weight into that pluckin' surrounded by Magner tension. Brilliant) Jigsaw Earth

Plan B,

I-Man~>

Whiskey River, (great choice for a cover )

Helicopters (beautiful partner to Froglegs inside a great encore)

[C Pile] (the motions / short reprise / short completion / not much inspiration / too much too fast)

Above the Waves,

B&C(2) ( agreat 2 1/2 minutes of ending jam)

Triumph,

Set 1:: 7.55 / 10 Set 2:: 8.65 / 10 [e]:: 8.50 / 10
