favorite 2002 show.
If you would like to know how to leave your physical body and meet the Andromedans who came to this planet 25 000 years ago to instill the idea and magical properties of music then the 1st set ending "Triumph ~> Helix" will facilitate this meeting. It's a very special combo and a rarely achieved BlisscoPercfection for you to swim in.
There is not much you can deem as "weak" or "uninspired" but I am certain many do.
HIGHlights: ~the opening drunken' jam into a banger of a MEMPHIS and one it's favorite partners Sven. This is one of the best moments of the night; that jam from MEMPHIS into Sven, wow. There is some very interesting textures coming from Mr Mags here, he is the timekeeper. He is the MVP, he is Sven although Barber's Oingo Boingo lyric jam was pretty cool. This is a top shelf Svenghali. if younger than 40 = lost. ~ the end and ending jam jam of Story is very smooth and chill in medium tempo. Lots of "funkytown" type teases ( in a close-enough key) and simply wonderful rhythm jams from Barber to end the tune. ~ Triumph jam ~> Helix - wonderful transition. a very nice, meticulous and patient 1st jam by Jon leads into Mags doin' his thang with a pedal, which I believe is called "Tonka Toys metal xylophone circa 1981" he uses it very well. THINGS GET PRIMAL!!!!!!!!!!!! evil and nasty. great stuff. The "new" version is getting it's legs underneath. (II) - the 5 minute mark in 'Ladies' is where the party begins. Sammy with the untz kick drum and blast off a la the Uncivilized album and their playing in '96 to '98/99. Sooner of later Jon is guaranteed to enter the crime scene and blow up the song into 50 thousand pieces...what a beautiful freak! Great tension and release moment near the end...and what an ending, arm in arm, jumpin' around with your buddies and just lovin' life. ~ OK here we go!! the segment of the night(IMO) "Reactor ~> Waves The Above ~> Crickets. Firstlt, Jon screamin' out the 'Reactor' lyrics is usually a good sign (or that the pills kicked in perfectly then) Bruce Dickenson everybody. Reactor wraps up with the sirens declaring that the inverted AtW is here and already in manic mode. This is about the trippiest, most hardcore, psychedelic Biscuits you will hear and love. The whole 15 minutes is quite inspirational and delightful here, a superb version. We all feel Blissco from the last Waves jam extended through Crix. Delightful mellow intricate musicianship here. I think what at least in part, makes this Crix amazing is Marc and Mr Mags. They are bestest buddies in the land of Splattums. Marc just vacuums everything drop onto floor, just a genius of playing pretty advanced playing look simple and effortless. He is extremely underrated as a bassist. Being a minimalist with your instrument doesn't equal a cheat code or "unable" to get complicated. Every note he plays has purpose.
~RLH - a near perfect version in book. those early RLH's are so damn good. Sometimes they are copy-n-paste but not in their 1st decade. It's a jam vehicle dude! :)

*** Strain of the Day for the Go-Go show:::: ole' faithful [OG Kush] an indica-heavy hybrid is a trifecta blend of Chemdawg, Hindu Kush indica, and Lemon Thai sativa. This potent strain is best suited for our THC lovers and lovers of the Disco Biscuits, as there is no CBD to be found here. We recommend that beginners start slowly with this one, but experienced users will love this powerful relaxant.
much love one day at a time may all your Blues be LaBatts
