I had seen them around a dozen times at this point, mostly east coast and mainly New England or New York City. But, this was my first show on good 'ole Canadian home soil and so everything was aligning towards a great show and experience. Check and check!

Not only is this my favorite opening to a Bisco show in '99 but close to an all-timer. An hour of bliss and inter-dimentional travel. Other than the set closing Spaga, the set is: 'Down to the Bottom ~> Vassilios ~> Pygmy Twylyte ~> HAB.' A++ , all killer, sick, sick jamming and simply the best Bisco has to offer. One of my all-time favorite AC2B starts the 2nd set in disgusting fashion. This hair-raising jam is beautiful...it's simply a show where everything is in sync and no shits are given about playing safe or trying to be "too perfect" basically playing in the zone, unconsciously; in the 8th Bardo. Helix and HDPF are tremendous stand alone versions where in House Dog, in particular, find Mags and Brownie at their psychedelic best, clocking in just under 30mins. Perfect closer.

The Sonar is no more but it was a fun little bar with 2 big dance floors to really get that dose circulating in your blood. Btw, there were no more than 125 people there!

A+ 9.5 / 10
