Pygmy jam to open the show is pretty typical jambandy stuff. Meh. Both Spaga jams are throwaway as far as I’m concerned. The Shem-Rah jam has such an interesting sound. This literally feels like if the band composed a song with lyrics, then took the lyrics out. They build with intensity for 5+ minutes, and this develops into a phenomenal Blissco jam. Easily the jam of the night. Awesome, awesome stuff. The Rivers jam is not bad (especially since I love this song), but the only part I’d relisten to is the peak.

Strobelights to start the second set is forgettable, though the slide into Miracles is really solid. Miracles begins with a dark trance jam. There is about a minute or so where I thought this might actually become very interesting, but it got pretty mundane after that minute or so. Oh well. The jam out of Gangster feels like it has potential. The band seems caught up in this swirling vortex sound, but I feel like they never really lock in as much as I’d like. Barber escapes the vortex and it feels like he might head for some soaring guitar riffs, but that never happens. Last Miracles jam is meh, and Radiator is fine. Shimmy for a standalone ender seems rude to me, given that you’ve got 8 minutes or so of composition to begin the song, but it is what it is. Jam is forgettable. Home Again encore is fine.

Jam starts off with a slow, minimalistic build before increasing tempo while Aron adds more layers & Barber & Marc keep pace in the pocket. A very cohesive & upbeat jam that I wish had gone on longer, great work by all.
