All-Timers
Track Notes
- S1Helicopters
Barber lays down a few tense grooves, and Magner mostly stays in the background, contributing occasional Gates of Hell flourishes, until he takes the lead decisively with a hypnotic trance line. Shortly after, Barber takes lead with an ascending riff theme that builds to an excellent peak
- S1Svenghali
A magnificent soundscape. The traditional jungle style jam leaves the poppy bliss of Svenghali almost instantly, as Barber plays the signature riff through a variety of effects. Barber uses a heavily muted distortion effect as he settles into a theme, and he and Magner craft an unsettling atmosphere. The first theme builds in to a chaotic crescendo that leads to a fake-out of the Overture ending. After this, Barber's tone is noticeably cleaner. He gradually brings Magner out of the abyss of darkness, and the pair lead into a blissful Svenghali ending.
- S2Munchkin Invasion
The jam starts off as a standard blissful trance jam. Magner makes contributions on the choir of angels synths over Sammy’s feather-light trance rhythm. Barber takes the lead and soon delivers one of the most gorgeous themes I’ve heard in Munchkin. The theme comes to a head, before breaking down and settling into a cool groove, building back up into a driving trance rhythm about a minute later. Barber takes lead once again for a brilliant build into Confrontation, culminating in what might be the strongest Confrontation peak ever.
- S2Confrontation
A grimy Magner trance vehicle. It quickly settles into some airy space, and Sammy begins to increase the tempo rapidly. Magner utilizes the Gates of Hell and Barber uses the same psychedelic distortion effect that characterizes the Svenghali jam. The effect is fantastic, and the jam builds to a solid Munchkin ending.
