Track Notes

  • S1
    Svenghali

First Mauricio version. Sammy's bass work is far more than competent, and the core three craft excellent atmosphere around Mauricio's digital percussion. The somewhat somber jam builds up to a triumphant crescendo, with Magner's powerful synth lead in the forefront of the jam.

  • S1
    Eine Kleine Nachtmusik

Debut. The band carves an impressive jam section out of a relatively rigid composition. Stylistically, the jam begins with some similarities to a Don jam: a kind of blissful driving trance progression. The jam is ambient and atmospheric at times, complemented by the guest violinist, and builds to a pleasant crescendo before Sammy signals the return to EKN.

  • S2
    Story of the World

Debut. The jam quickly settles into a melancholy trance groove, which gradually shifts, as the playing intensifies, back to the triumphant Story territory.

  • S2
    7-11

Debut. Composition is still very raw, but the jam section is not. Although it is a bit slower than modern versions, and although Magner's distinctive synth bass riffs stick out like a sore thumb, this is in essence a mature 7-11 jam. Beginning around the 7 minute mark, the 7-11 theme begins to break down, dismantling itself almost completely before it builds up to a Spaga ending jam.
