first set pretty standard, nothing crazy - decent jamming in dribble>bazaar second set has some really solid jamming with the atw>vas>atw. first jam has that 99 trancy vibe and great interplay between barber/magner. solid peak in vas as well. end of s2 with the blissful ac2b pretty good as well. 2.5/5 only because of the first set

Track Notes

  • S2
    Above The Waves

This is only the third Waves ever, and the first to be split. The jam has all the makings of a standard early Waves rager, replete with Magner's 1998 style synths and Barber shredding, but the jam breaks down just shy of the eleven minute mark. The remainder of the Waves track is a mellow segue into Vassillios.

  • S2
    Vassillios

The Vassillios outro starts off mellow, but builds gradually to a massive uplifting crescendo around the seventeen minute mark. It sounds almost like Run Like Hell territory, or something similarly major-key, before Barber suddenly (but not in a bad way) lays down the Waves riff to signal the transition

  • S2
    Above The Waves

A well-executed Waves peak and ending section punctuate the famous Waves > Vassillios > Waves sandwich
