Being only an hour and 40 minutes from my old home on the Canadian east coast back then, I was always at the Monopole to see the Seapods. Also, The Slip, Strangefolk and Percy Hill were always playing. Amazing era for music in New England...spoiled lol.
Although I was on a steady diet of Heroin and Hagen Daas during these days, I remember it being 100 degrees in there with no real room to well...breathe. Which is a perfect rock 'n roll atmosphere.
This is the show that turned 2 old buddies of mine into superfreaks of the Disco Biscuits. And with tremendous reason.
Just a short ferry ride to the other side of the Champlain after a nice show at HG the previous night.
I do not have a recording of this show although there were shotgun mics there. So packed and noisy it might have been a dud to distribute but who knows. I would do anything to get a SBD of this show.
What I remember....of course the ''Vass ~> B & C'' (my dream combo amongst many...my 'China>Rider', 'Scarlet>Fire' or even 'Mike's Groove')
I think we missed most if not all of the opening 'AC2B' to start the 2nd=Halftime festivities. Other than that 'Mr. Don' is pure fuego but the night's prize for me was 'Morph'. The energy during the ending jam blew the 'Pole into orbit. It's what I 'member most. 2 Fiddlers back to back as well as the encore for this night Helix. Don't remember it much to be honest.
I'm not sure who was running the board but he was raving about the show afterwards. I clearly remember our conversation as I was helping him pack away his gear. He though it was the best show of the year to that point.
Can we PLEASE hunt for a recording of this show!?
Love will see you through.....
