I fully admit attendance bias but this has to be in contention for Best of 2023. The first set opens briskly with Shem and keeps building until the absolute masterclass of prog rock trancefusion in Spaga>Cyclone>Buddha. I'm not the biggest Digital Buddha fan since I find the main riff a little annoying, but it was absolutely the cherry on top of the first set.

No matter how good that first set was, though, the second set was like touching the hand of God. Deal>Spacebird gave me chills both IRL and listening to the boards a week later. Inverted Ladies is always a bit of a cheat code, but it works every damn time. The temperature cools off a little for Buy the Time and SOTW, but they bring it back home in a most resplendent fashion with the return to Spacebird. I've gotten on the Bisco bus a little late in life, but the best show of theirs I've attended IRL so far.
