whoever skips 2011 as whole is just crazy.
This cruise was one of the best; Umph (that Jajunk!), Sector 9 with their acoustic 'Axe the Cables' and Bobobo!! Listening to downtemp in the pouring rain with purple sunsets everywhere. Certainly the funnest TBeam show I've ever seen (5 total) it was ALL worth it to listen to that inverted 'Abyss', honestly, 15 minutes of heaven. Also, the jam out of "Ape into a perfectly suited Dub 'Dribble' ~> Lunar Pursuit. I did miss the opening 'Mirrors' but it sounds pretty good on Zman's tapes.
Back to 2011 and the fans' ejection seats during this year. Have you not heard the May Ogdens and RRocks? Camp 10! the 'RLH' from NYC in the spring? The Sherman Theatre....the only spring show I saw on the east coast that year ,after the Holidaze, was a fucking phenomenal show!! It was their au revoir show as they went out west. DO get/re-listen to this show or your Biscuits privileges will be taken away from you. The only sub par was the encore. You get top notch AC2B jam in and outta 'Catalyst', a good Buddha, the 2nd best Spacebird of the year, rivaling many '09 ers and last but not least ' perhaps Mags' best 'House Dorg' in years. I just think a lot of peeps got put off by the ID Festivals through the summer. A flow killer. And average playing. Not too off the mark but please...poke around. 2011 is good. Lastly, December 28th with Bros. Past in New York!! You're not "forced" to listen to 'My Lady Survives' :) A very spacey, jammy show with an exquisite setlist that lives up 3/4 of the time. The show in one long no stop show. Well, one, to close out the 1st set.
Take that deep dive into 2011! Just skip the ID Fests and listen to the aforementioned. You'll wonder why you erased it from your memory.
Peace.
