{Vocals are WAY hot on this recording as well as touchy loudness levels but still much 'preesh the board]

In the first I really like the 'Very Moon~>PT" The VM guitar parts are pure joy....from DnB to a little reggae, psychill and straight up Barber magiK. 'Pygmy'' deserves immense love (IMO) due to Magner's led type 1 synthedelic fast and furious beautiful groove with Barber underneath stumming jam. This ecstasy tension jam gets into part 2 at around 8 minutes in when Barber volumes up and really kills that strumming with the synth....really good stuff. The final jam part 3 sees Marc step in more with fire rhythm passages as Barber goes full lead until the end. For me, this is an A grade 'PyTwy' straight and narrow with zero fluff. Young and full of fire. Voices was very average. The shot clock was running low but I think a Barfly, Frog Legs or even a Magpie would have been better. Anyway, who am I to say. 7.75 / 10 [set ONE]

Above average second set. 'Vassillios~>beg of Basis''(the drumming is awesome with Tarzan shout out that almost broke the mics, btw, the Basis(1) out of Vass is very open and airy, a nice groove reminiscent to Ozric Tentacles' Strangeitude' ) Vassillios is a nice medium paced jam....until it isn't, it gets trippy as hell. Fn' Phenomenal. Sammy Vassillios are the best of course. The seamless segue into 'Bazaar' is perfection. The way it flow out of the 'Basis' electronica space is gorgeous. 'B & C' being the very multifaceted champion of the night with many strong styles. flute patch adventure, the dub part and Sammy with Magner on another level. But Barber, freakin' Barber, is so technically in the moment on this one. Another example of pure flow working inside natural law. Half Dub, All Fire. Basis(2) has very, VERY good team build ups. That a lazy way to say from 5 minutes in to 17 minutes the "up, up and away" jam works nicely. Don't get it twisted, this is Magner's ''Basis'', no doubt. 8.40 / 10 [set TWO]

Didn't Clambake open up this show? Inside an incredible Spring tour, this one should very much be in the conversation of some of the best moments. The SBD doesn't hurt as well, even with it's imperfections. Most thankful.

If you want an absolute top 5, mind-melting, dna mixing with a pretty good crowd sourced recording...please go to April 23 in Worcester. Bonkers. There at least 5 15+ minutes long tunes that do magical things including a near show closing 34 minutes Boop.

After a few minutes of the customary B&C blissful vibe, they transition to minor with tasty Barber licks and Magner playing a standard piano patch. They shift back to major and Sammy brings in a halftime reggae beat. A chill jam develops, sounding very much like a Jigsaw Earth intro (Jigsaw would be debuted a few months later on 10/7/99). Barber was clearly feeling this jam, because he starts singing some Hey’s and Whoa’s out of nowhere. Eventually Sammy increases the tempo. Barber teases Voices, and then the full band goes into a mini Voices jam, before Brownie segues into the Basis middle funk section.
