The opening segment of Shimmy > Mulberry’s > Shimmy is almost entirely forgettable. The segue into Mulberry’s is seamless, but other than that, this is 3 separate jams (including the type 1 inside Mulberry’s) that can be skipped completely. Most of Caterpillar is decent, but not great, and Spraypaint > Reactor is basically a throwaway for me.

Munchkin > Tricycle > Munchkin sounds exactly what you’d think it sounds like, but that’s not necessarily bad here. I think the first Munchkin jam has some nice stuff, and the Tricycle peak is well-done here. The jam out of Tricycle has some really, really neat stuff going on. Allen and Magner are the MVPs here, with Magner having some really interesting things to say musically. The Munchkin peak is done really well. The Sven jam is a little disappointing. There are parts of this that I felt like could really take off, particularly the Middle-Eastern vibe that they have going later in the jam. Unfortunately, this just never developed as well as it could have. The SITA jam is extended and develops into a neat little theme. The jam out of Home into Astronaut to close the show is just alright.

Highlights: Munchkin, Tricycle*, Astronaut (1)
