Opens with b&c into a long patient jam that transitions to voices unfinished then back into b&c. This was the majority of your first set. I thought it was fire with the various segues into different keys. Then a solid TVM (no moon funk) right into a funk jam cover with the horn section. Then ending the set by busting out just the end of morph.
Second set is the highlite of the show. Let’s dance jam into an inverted humu is the fire most. A sneaky transition into an unfinished Astronaut followed by a delectable inverted DTTB. Then closing with an ending only confrontation. I’ve relistened to this segment many times and still one of my favs of 17

B&C has a great digital jam, which features Magner on arps and Allen on e-drums. This is really neat. Allen eventually kicks on (pun intended) the e-kick, and they slow way down to play a dancy Voices intro. The Voices jam has a swing to it that feels like it would be more appropriate in a Magellan jam, with Allen mainly relying on toms and ride cymbals. This is again, very solid. The TVM jam is non-existent (basically just a solo), nor is The Very Funk. Give it to Me Baby is meh, jam is meh.
KOTW has a mediocre type 1 jam in it that just serves as a solo platform for the horns. Gross. Let’s Dance has a mostly mediocre start, but around the 13-minute mark, the band gets much faster and much darker. This is good, and as Allen drops the e-kick it gets even better. The first few minutes of Humu aren’t bad but aren’t noteworthy either. They build a decent peak here at the end of the Humu jam, but it doesn’t really move me all that much. It’s certainly played well and with good communication, but I just don’t care about the theme much. The SITA jam is really neat. Allen drops the e-kick immediately, and they escape the type 1 territory to build a neat little dance jam here. The DTTB peak takes WAY too long to materialize. The DTTB jam never does much to grab me. The On Time encore is not good.
Highlights: B&C, Voices, Let’s Dance*, Astronaut
