Brownie is on point like crazy here. Everyone is having a very good night but Marc?....he cannot be ignored. Just for one example: The beginning 'Tempest' jam :) It's mainly the usual intro plus a little magic sprinkled about. And that Reactor is just stupendous. Great show. Turns out....everything is just exactly perfect.
The perfect strain for this killer start of a 3 day stay.
[Bertberry Cheesecake] a bright sativa-dominant cross of Alien Moonshine and UK Cheese. This strain’s terpene profile is rich with sweet citrus, and its buds are bulbous, bright green, and tangled in orange hairs. Bertberry Cheesecake is both mentally and physically stimulating, offering creativity and strong euphoria. A very inspirational effect in medium to high doses.
Perfect for the early fire of AC2B, Munchvasion as well as the beautifully exciting Jigsaw ~> Tempest combo.
enjoy and be swell.

CWB is standard. AC2B first jam is pretty normal, a type 1 jam that leads into the AC2B middle. The second jam has a wonderful beginning. Barber is playing these textural little riffs that just color the edges of the jam, and Magner provides some great pads and piano/strings sounds that provide an ethereal feel overall. Brownstein and Allen do a great job of progressing the jam forward without playing out too much. This honestly has a 1.0 feel to it, and Magner’s lead comes in at the perfect spot with an evolving patch. This has elements of Blissco without being a straightforward piece of improvisation. Great stuff! Eventually the band comes together an increases the tempo. I still feel like this has a 1.0 vibe to it. The jam out of Neck Romancer back into AC2B doesn’t do a whole lot for me.
Munch. Kin. Yes! What a great version. There’s a particular theme that the band develops that is so awesome. Around 5:20, Brownstein creates a simple-yet-effective bass progression. By 5:40, Magner’s Rhodes-y patch is playing a similar melody, with Barber basically playing rhythm at this point. They really let this theme grow some legs and stretch out quite a bit. They don’t evolve this all that much, but to be frank they don’t need to. This is the type of jam they could play for a million years and I’d still keep bobbing my head to it. I love this up until it gets toward Tricycle, at which point I think they sort of get on autopilot. The jam out of Tricycle back into Munchkin is pretty straightforward.
Reactor has an absolutely wonderful jam. More Blissco, and it couldn’t feel better. This has another old-school feel to it, particularly Barber who is just ripping it up. He comes up with such a joyful series of riffs here, and it sounds like the entire band is just having the time of their lives. Jigsaw’s jam is a slowed-down, dubbed out jam that features Magner playing around with a weird psychedelic synth/flute sound in really eerie ways. They wind up building this up in a great way from the very slowed-down, dubbed out jam into a full-on peak. This honestly has the sound and feel of an AC2B peak, and for a second I almost forgot that they ended AC2B earlier in the show. The change to Tempest is abrupt, but I’m okay with it.
Tempest itself has a really unique jam. Around the 5:10 mark, Marc settles into another simple-but-effective progression. Magner and Barber dance around each other, and I’m not quite sure how to describe this one. It feels a little more “rocky” of a jam. That’s maybe not even the best word for it, but Barber and Magner play off each other so well here it hurts. They grow this jam in a really organic way, and when they slide into a trance jam around the 10:30 mark, it feels completely natural. They develop this into a straightahead trance jam. They’re not breaking any new ground with this portion, but it works really well, and the comeback to Jigsaw is well done and fluid.
Jigsaw has it usual dubby jam, along with the drum solo. I don’t care much for the drum solo, but if you do, now’s your time. The jam into the Floes ending is somewhat predictable. They not only telegraph it too early, but they play it for way too long. Mitts is always a solid encore in my mind.

- S1Munchkin Invasion
The first few minutes of this Munchkin, the band struggles to find its footing. Instead of simply forcing something mediocre, they reset, and eventually Marc introduces one of his classic simple-but-effective progressions. He uses a I > VI > VII progression, similar to Abyss, and after just a few bars of this progression, Magner listens and follows suit with an absolutely incredible melody on his Rhodes patch. Barber’s work here is primarily rhythmic, and this jam is all about the connection between Magner and Brownstein as they evolve this theme in an organic way that is truly impressive. They build this into an all-out party that could be its own song. For any other band, this would be an all-time jam. For this band, it was Thursday.
