Fiddler has a really pretty jam that stretches its legs far more than usual. This is the usual jambandy sound, but it’s done really well here. The Story jam is the usual midtempo jam funk stuff. The Tricycle peak is a lot more laid back than usual, which is a neat change. The Tricycle jam has some weird stuff from Magner and Barber. This is certainly unique, though I don’t know that it’s necessarily good. Lunar begins with the typical dub jam and develops into an upbeat DNB jam into Svenghali. This didn’t do much for me.

The Don jam begins fairly uneventful, but near the end of the Don track, it gets incredibly interesting. Around the 19-minute mark, they dip to half-time, and they build a very cool psychedelic-rock-jam. This has such a Magellan feel to it so far before the actual transition to Magellan. First Magellan jam is pretty straightforward. The second jam develops into a really neat trance jam, led by Magner. The switch to Cyclone is pretty rough, particularly the fact that Barber is just nonexistent in the drop. In any event, the jam out begins with loads of potential. The band develops another great trance jam, but promptly ditches it to switch to half-time. I don’t feel like this is all that effective, and while they eventually pick back up, when they do they land into an even less effective DNB jam. The Munchkin jam, on the other hand, is very solid. This is about 15 minutes long, and has a couple different really nice themes. Again, the lion’s share of the work here is being done by Magner, which is fine by me. On Time has a mediocre encore jam.

Highlights: Fiddler, Don, Magellan (2), Munchkin*
