The DTTB jam has a few minutes of mediocre jamband jamming, but they get into a fast-paced dance jam shortly, and Barber’s lead licks are really great, and have a fantastic high energy to them. Around 14:40, they slow down but maintain the dance energy they had going. I think as they get closer and closer to Bombs, this gets less and less interesting, but overall this was a nice jam. The first several minutes of Bombs are boring. Around the 16-minute mark, it does get markedly more interesting as they change for the HDPF switch, and the HDPF ending is solid. Most of the Dublights jams is fairly forgettable, but I do really love when they hit the I-VII-VI-VII progression, even if it is a bit of a crutch. Not enough to grant this as a highlight, but decent. The WLTP jam is really solid. There’s a fantastic groove that the band locks into. Barber’s plucky little riff is catchy, and the interplay with Magner is nice.

Story jam does not a whole lot for me. The Abyss > Don jam is such a weird, happy-go-lucky jam, and I can’t get enough of it. It’s got a joyful little bounce to it that is pretty unique in the realm of the Biscuits. Probably my favorite part of the night. Don jam is fine. Buddha begins with a lot of potential, but ultimately loses a lot of steam for me as they head toward Story. House Dog is okay. Highwire is standard.

Highlights: DTTB, WLTP, Abyss*
