7-11 has a type 1 jam that doesn’t get all that interesting, and frankly the 6 minutes or so is far too long to just be vamping on this theme. The 2nd 7-11 jam has a fast trance jam with an e-kick drum throughout most of it. This is nothing outside the box, but it’s a catchy little jam anyway. They eventually drop to half-time and head toward Truckers, but not before Magner gets in a Gamma Goblins tease. The Truckers jam doesn’t do much for me. The Munchkin jam has a definitive Munchkin feel to it, and features Magner using his more spacey sounding leads for much of the first few minutes. Around the 8-minute mark, the band settles on a Tricycle sounding progression. They eventually leave this for a much more relentless trance jam. This jam is a very Aron Magner’s Disco Biscuits sounding jam. Barber is primarily playing more textured and rhythm riffs. This is balls to the wall dance music. Abraxas is not all that interesting here, until the last couple minutes before they transition back to Munchkin.

Hope is standard. The RLH intro jam has elements of Tricycle. Not sure you can call this a tease, but Brownstein lays on this progression for a while. Allen’s e-drum effects here mesh so well with Magner’s psychedelic layering, and this has such a cool effect. Great jam. The 1st RLH jam is not bad, but I don’t find much here remarkable either. The 2nd jam has a fantastic groove to it and features some really nice e-drum work from Allen. This turns into such an awesome, amazing, digital jam. This was by far my favorite piece of the night — until I heard the Bombs jam. This develops from the digital jam into a happy Blissco theme that really naturally leads into Spraypaint ending. The Spraypaint jam is a fairly straightforward trance jam. It’s a head bobber for sure, just not sure how relistenable this is. Allen’s drumming here is awesome. The peak that they build before the drop into Bombs is really great. Not something I’d listen to just for the peak, but very well-done. Bombs has an absolutely fantastic Blissco jam out of it. Barber’s phrasing here is wonderful. At 7:45 Barber comes up with this gorgeous little lick, and the band locks in for this happy-go-lucky, carefree little jam that just tugs at your heartstrings. Beautiful, beautiful stuff. Abyss has a very solid trance jam. This isn’t breaking any new ground, but it’s well-played, cohesive, and interesting enough. Ladies encore is very solid. Allen drops the e-kick fairly quick into the jam, and the band makes it clear the show is not quite over. Magner plays a sort of acid-y lead that, combined with Allen’s e-drums, produce a nice digital feel for the jam as a whole. This has the feel of Europe ‘08 where they just put the pedal to the floor and played dark, dirty trance. Very nice ending to a great show.
