~ ending of the greatest tour?? ~

Very Moon openers are the best! Gets the juices flowing. Brownie lays down the evil low end with extra ooomph here...chills :) "She cherished dreams of flying high and leaving him below..." Typical yet very confidant Barber solo until the funk bridge...back to Brownie, this time he brings his friend Missa Mags along for the "hammond" back n forth. The last 5 minutes is a little hesitant as they find a highway towards Shem. You know it's coming, plenty of hints and proper chord changes and the entry takes a minute but Marc is there in great timing to introduce SRB with those oh so familiar bass notes. This SRB reminds me of the classic Buffalo version from June earlier in the year, very similar except this one melts into Cyclone and not Trike. At 5 mins or so things get untzy for a while until Barber gently walks into the jam where they proceed to play a very nice tempo with the sexiest of keyboards. Cyclone is pretty average until around 3/4 in. What also makes songs' versions better than others is what proceeds it (if any) and what is to come(if any) and that is why I like this version. It flies nicely out of Shem with plenty of room to breathe. It's the Barber bridge to Triumph with great octopad drumming by the alien. Great opening to Triumph just too short The "issue" with the last 3 tunes is that they have 20 minutes to play all 3 lol. That's one Gutwillig solo on some nights.

Rating Set I:: 8.55 / 10

Set 2: Munchkin Invasion ~> Crickets ~> I-Man ! is what you need to know and replay. The rest is average although Rivers has it's usual charm.

Rating Set II: 8.20 / 10

1st star = Mags 2nd = Marc (he is truly spectacular tonight. let's be real...the whole summer and fall of 2009(starting around Inferno) is/was his best of the best playing (IMO) the beautiful recording mixes don't hurt :)
