((<< silky smooth fido home party favors...tell a friend>>))

amidst a year of nice SBDs, this one is exquisite. truly 10 star sound.

for some reason this show doesn't get the big accolades as others but is worth the hype for the simple fact that the "ON" button is firmly pressed for pretty much every tune.

The 2nd set is a monster not unlike Breakin' 2 - Electric Boogaloo. Yet the 1st set has great jams:

Highlights 1: [7-11 jam into Caves] and [Spraypaint] should be on a list somewhere, shit, it's so happy.

Highlights 2: [HDPF! ; monumental version. Perfect opening, the familiar first half is gentle and electric at the same time...you know it's gonna get proper in here. The 11 or so minute jam to end this standalone version starts very untz and Dn'B. Magner is in a great psytrance. Barber meets these keyboard sections until everyone is a unit again gaining momentum. The last 4 minutes is a Barber clinic with tasty, patient solos overtop Marc's drivingt hump bass and the high hat to pad beat. To the reprise and out. How can this version not be top 3 of the year or top 20 all time?!?! killer.

[Vassillios ~>] Magner is playing beautifully here for the pre-manic part. Nice. At around the halfway point Barber just...I know...nails it. A tight jam filled with funk on repeat until everyone seems to have their say lol. Improv rule #1: always say "yes" and work with your partner(s). If you are in full attention, you'll here a few 'Caves' premonitions in there. The ending / transition has Magner on a crunchy 70's sound that works so well. Slowwwiiiinnnnnggggg down into ''Orch Theme' :)

[~> Orch ~>] standard funky start and you are now certain that Mr. Magner and Barber are having a special night. Most decisions are working. You can really feel this version. It's the standard formula but it's treated with such respect. A top notch version.

[~> Tempest ~>] Great way to extend the funk. It fits like a glove in this section. Rhythm jams by Barber until he reaches a circular peak and just flies in psychedelic circles. Marc stomps on the jam(not in a rude way lol) and prepared jam 2. The Magner induced 'Tempest' ending feels so good as they land on the ending of 'Reactor'

section: POWERFUL, FEEL GOOD FUNK.

The rest is good but not the tunes take you to Mars. Great show!!

rating: A-/A ; 8.5/10 or 4.5/5

perfect strains for this fist pumper of a show, you danced a lot, now it's time to couch lock a little and get grinny: <Chemdawg 91> or <Grape Ape>
