The first Dribble jam is the typical first Dribble jam. There’s really nothing interesting going on here, and the band mostly kills time until they get to the middle section of Dribble. The second jam begins far more interestingly. The jam that they begin with almost sounds like they are planning on doing a Basis intro, but ultimately of course that never happens. Magner uses his sort of “reverse” sounding synth, and Barber’s dissonant and discordant play helps this to develop into a really interesting theme. As they shift uptempo, Magner really takes over with the Virus and they craft a Middle Eastern theme. All of this on its own is worthy of this being an awesome jam. However, at 1:40 in the Helicopters track, Barber lands on a VI-VII-I chord and after a brief drop out, the entire band comes back. From here for the next few minutes to the Helicopters peak, the band is absolutely on fire. Barber and Magner have incredible interplay, and what’s more is that both of their note choice is perfect. This is exactly what I want from this band. Thematic, poignant, interesting jamming. Incredible jam that should be heard by all and turns into a wonderful peak. Spectacle has a short intro jam that doesn’t move me much. However, the Shelby jam is fantastic. This is mostly Magner, but he has a ridiculously catchy, clever lead riff that just has this hypnotic quality to it. I felt like they left this earlier than I’d like, but really nice regardless. The jam out of AC2B and back into Shelby is fine.

The opening jam of the second set comes out of Rockafella. This begins as a mostly forgettable jam, though does feature Barber teasing “Gonna Fly Now” (aka the Rocky theme). Ultimately when they shift into a DNB jam, this gets really interesting, and they develop a multi-chord, thematic jam leading into a return to the Gonna Fly Now theme before the drop into Overture. Neat. There’s no jam after Overture, just a drop into Robots. Robots into Triumph sounds like essentially exactly what you would expect. On the other hand, the return to Robots is fantastic. This turns into a thematic “rock” jam with a solid I-VI progression that the band milks for all it’s worth. The second Robots jam is forgettable DNB though Allen is insane throughout. Tunnel turns into a 2-3 minute ambient jam which is more than fine with me. Cool psychedelic stuff from all band members. The return on the other hand falls flat.

Highlights: Dribble (2**), Shelby*, Rockafella**, Triumph, Tunnel*

This show had a lot of heat 🔥🙌🔥

First set was the truth. S&M opener was very nostalgic of the 08-09 era. This led into a a mindless helicopters that gave you sense the night was gonna be special. Definitely something you can listen to the whole way thru and not skip segments. Spectacle was well done just listen. And of course the Shelby sandwich. This was the was high point of the set. The Drop in Ac2b was immaculate. Shelby peak was among top 5 ever imo.

yes, the security sucked and the place was quite filthy but if the music can get as dirty and as sticky as the floor then no complaints shall come forth.

Great sound! This is the Brownie mix we all love and pray is present in every recording....you know! :)

HIGH lights: Dribble, Spectacle, Shelby(b), Overture, Robots (2nd jam), The Tunnel.

ps- there are "Rocky" soundtrack teases everywhere in this show.

[Lamb’s Bread] reportedly was one of Bob Marley's favorite kinds of herb.another strong sativa, created by God's soil and into your soul. It's a terrific mood enhancer and keeps you energized for a long while which is perfect while listening to some great summer tour 2008.

peace.
