World Is Spinning has a rare jam, which is fantastic to see. On the downside here, this jam is incredibly boring. Mulberry’s has a straightforward type 1 jam in the middle, then a largely forgettable jam as the band kills time until Onamae Wa starts. The jam in Rock Candy is phenomenal. The band develops a cohesive, thematic jam that has fantastic communication from Brownstein and Barber. The section between 5:45 and 7:00 is breathtaking. I thought both I-Man jams were solid. Wish these could have been stretched out a little bit more (the first moreseo than the second), but I enjoyed both.

7-11 begins with a type 1 “towel” jam. Skip. Both the jam into and out of Crickets don’t do a whole lot for me. I thought they started cooking up something interesting immediately prior to the drop into House Dog, which comes out of nowhere. Not the worst transition, and this is pulled off so well I didn’t mind the abrupt change. First HDPF jam is predictable and goes nowhere. Second jam is extended and gets locked into a really nice groove. This is solidly inside the box, but I was bobbing my head throughout this jam. The Humu jam has some pretty guitar work from Barber, but that’s about all I can say about it. Home Again has a really neat, extended jam. Magner is using some sort of sample here, and I assume it’s similar to the weird feminization audios Magner sampled extensively on this tour. I can’t make out of the words, but it sounds similar. The jam itself has a great groove to it, and definitely gets more outside of the box than the typical Home Again jam does. The Spectacle jam just doesn’t do anything for me. I normally love Spectacle intros, but this just goes nowhere.

Highlights: Rock Candy**, I-Man (1, 2), HDPF (2), Home Again
