I wish they would have never played Paul Revere. Not just this show, in general. The Munchkin jam is initially fairly forgettable. However, near the end of it, they get into this interesting Middle Eastern theme, primarily riding Magner’s little textural fill. The Pilin jam is forgettable DNB. Reactor’s jam is just a lot of meandering, and this does nothing at all for me. Shimmy > Orch is okay, but this just feels a little too paint-by-numbers for me. There’s no theme here that sticks out, and this feels like a very “festival” jam. First Orch Theme jam is basically a type 1 jam, but I don’t really care. This has a great groove, and I enjoyed it. I don’t really care about the Matisyahu jam, though I do enjoy the jam that returns to Shimmy. This has more of the Middle Eastern flavor, which leads fluidly into the Shimmy ending. First Memphis jam is a pretty typical Memphis 1 jam. The jam into and inside of 42 are both mediocre and/or forgettable entirely. Sven encore is fine.
