DOTSPF is always a fan favorite. Bernstein begins with a nice Blissco jam. I’ll take it. The jam out of Joy to the World into Vassillios doesn’t do much, and really is just water-treading until they hit Vassillios, and I feel about the same about the jam into Cyclone. The jam out of Cyclone on the other hand is immediately dark and ominous. Unfortunately this veers away fairly quickly, and turns back into Joy to the World. They sort of meld the ending of B&C and Joy to the World, which is neat. The Grass is Green jam here is fantastic. This is somehow a rock and electronic jam at the same time. This is not really outside the box, but I loved this, a lot.

The jam out of Reactor and into Robots is about as dissonant as one would expect from this pairing. I generally enjoyed this. Jam out of Robots comes from the funk section into the beginning of Confrontation. I like the pairing, but this jam is mediocre. The Confrontation jam is a solid dance jam which develops into a great little peak. Technically there’s a “jam” after Confrontation, but it’s more of a transition. Robots > Reactor is nothing I care too much about. First Magellan jam does nothing, and they absolutely butcher the drop back into Magellan. Yuck. Second jam has some really cool psychedelic rock vibes to it at various parts. Not something I’d come back to again and again, but solid. Spy encore is standard.

Highlights: B&C*, Grass is Green**, Reactor, Confrontation, Magellan (2)
