CWB begins the show with a decent, if generally forgettable, jam. Munchkin has an absolutely phenomenal Blissco jam. This is evocative of the famous 03/31/01 Dribble jam (the major key section) both in how Barber plays and Magner’s patch. Very beautiful stuff, and has a very old school feel. The entirety of the rest of the first set can be skipped completely.
Fiddler is decently played, but there’s really no jam here. It says something that over an hour goes by in the Spacebird segment, and none of this really moved me at all. The Spy > November Rain segment is at least better in terms of Barber’s guitar playing, but good GOD his singing is atrocious here. Some of the worst, and that’s saying a lot.
