Barber was having a fit with his rig in the first set. It's a "on paper" friendly setlist in the 1st but unfortunately not very inspired due to frustrations...BUT....the double inverted combo of Abraxas ~> Boop is good. Especially Abrax Magner Ozric Jam, the segue and the ending (beg) of Boop into the second verse from "candlelight scene to stuck in-between". The 2nd set is excellent.

Everything lined up well for the 11/11 show at one of the great theatres in North America, love that place, but they made up for it in this bonkers fall tour of endless shows.

Those Hookah shows are still haunting the place.

peace.

Whip It, Highwire, IRW all jamless to start the show. Awesome. The entirety of this Spacebird segment did zero for me, and basically the entire first set can be skipped.

First Mulberry’s jam is the usual type 1 jam, but the second actually gets stretched out in an interesting way. Barber has some great lines in this little breakbeat jam, and I enjoyed most of the second jam. The Nughuffer story is about Brownstein’s kid having his favorite song be Nughuffer, which is kinda funny I guess. The jam is dirty, dark, and awesome. Exactly what I want from a Nughuffer. The jam out of KOTW is an actual jam and leads to a great, dark trance jam into Abyss. Cool stuff. Jam out of Abyss is significantly less interesting. Both RLH jams begin with a lot of potential. The first one peters out a bit, and while I liked the second one more, not enough to relisten again. The Shem-Rah jam on the other hand is fantastic. This begins as a somewhat subdued, spacey jam featuring some great, long lines from Magner. This develops into a fantastic Blissco ending, though they botch the drop back into the ending. Confrontation encore is forgettable.

Highlights: Mulberry’s (2), Nughuffer*, KOTW*, SRB**
