Most of this Triumph jam does nothing for me. They hit a neat theme immediately before Sven, but that’s about it. The Buddha and Sven jams similarly go nowhere. However, the Rock Candy jam to end the set is fantastic. This is a trance onslaught and is the highlight of the night for me.
Basically the entirety of the second set can be skipped. There’s really nothing here that doesn’t feel like filler, and even the O Fortuna cover is pretty mediocre. The Lai encore is more interesting than the entirety of the second set combined. They get super dark and dissonant here, and develop a straight-up evil theme. This is phenomenal.
Highlights: Rock Candy**, Lai**
