Set 3: Crickets; 9:15 > 12:15ish "Minions" Jammin'
I love this site, true knowledgeable freaks of kindest nature. In the "Top Rated" shows, a 2009 show doesn't show up until #25 on the list while the "leans years" of '03 through '05(that a LOT of fans poo-poo) has a handful. Triumph! was the underdog. All smiles. 2007 and 2009 have their own dimension I guess. [EDIT: AS OF AUG. 2022]
{{ this was my 32nd birthday; sometimes the girlfriend controls the travel plans and that's cool. So instead of the headiest of new year's/bday shows at the Hammer we went to Vegas to see moe. which was truly incredible but in hindsight...blah blah }}
There is plenty of blogs and reviews regarding this fantastic show and run so let's hear your experience :) !
We would love to hear your new year's, from where you drove from to the hotel pre-show favors, to the show and most importantly, what songs have the clearest of memories in your mind/body & soul. Did you know you were indeed in heaven when they dropped that 'Robots' in the 1st ? How about a 33 minute 'Magellan' into a 40 minute 'Frog Legs' > 'Crix' of the highest degree (with huge 'Minions' jams) , aka set three? Brownie's evil, dark, gorgeous bass solo during 'Dribble' followed by a Sammy solo? Did it renew your love for the Biscuits? What would you do for a Klondike Bar?
'Up on the mountain where the sea is space To live in the vacuum of this perfect place'
{ Vancouver Island, Ladysmith Amphitheatre on the beach facing the inlet - massive tax breaks, a strong U.S. dollar, having a morning coffee and a puff while watching whales jump 100 yards away, free fungus, end a west coast tour there, the wives and kids will freak out with fun} Pleas. "Happy New Year...look out below..."
