""And when you see Shelby coming, You feel your heart palpitate""
Excellent show. Inspiration moved them brightly on this day. One of my 2003 favs...soon to be yours. There are great Sunset Media SBDs. Mine is pretty clean but a little thin. Very good though. This club is right beside Mullberry St. so it's fate. ps - "Where Do The Children Play?" was never played this night, it's just a silly rumor. no bueno.
Highlights: SET I:
- what an opener! killer 7-11 with some nice stretched out space-rock, very relaxed and well played. ~>
- AC2B - The ascending jam into AC2B is nice, you just know they are jumping into the pool soon and with gusto. The 1st jam is FUNK, Bisco Funk led by Mr.Mags wonderful synth work while Jon lays rhythm and Marc playing patiently and ready to blow. Nice keyboard work while and after Barber talks about being in Scranton for the first time although they used to live there. Homeshow 1B. A mini MMW jam ensues for a while. The 2nd half is crazy good and that last jam is filled with beautiful guitar work and incredible percussion from the alien doctor. Great energy here. I try not to look but when I see a standalone AC2B and 24 minutes of it, I get tingly...things get swollen.
- Shelby(unf) ~> Spectacle - I mean...Shelby is just great. No words really needed unless you want a play by play and with all the technical info like pedals, guitars etc... For most of Shelby Marc is the MVP. Deep n' delicious basslines. ~> Spectacle: the feel good beginning is up a notch here and they are indeed syncopated. Not long just very well played.
SET II: "Rock ~> pooB ytteB ~> Candy" Rock Candy (a) gets into a great groove with a basic jam at a basic tempo but what makes the first half so good is Magner. He and Sam are slaying the stage here with a nice Arabian style jam with a dirty bassline underneath it all. Ending of "part a" with nice trancefusion if you will. tremendous! ~> "LBB" - they quickly land on a high-tempo groove. Some tension/release jams It's so good! Like playing with a grenade with the pin removed. Ending section is a nice and "relaxing" mid-tempo jam until ~> Rock Candy. Superb opening jam with some call and answer techniques of the highest order. The last half of Rock Candy (b) is great.
- Dub Dribble ~ another great dub style Dribble. it doesn't disappoint. The Moshi Jam just never really takes off until it does and it rewards us. Short but really fun. ~> Confrontation
- the show ending tune continues from the previous night smack in the middle of the jam. Truly an excellent version. They made the decision not to do an encore and let it all out here. As soon as you hear the jam take off you immediately say to yourself "self", this is the groove I love. You shall not be bummed.

** Strain to reset the brain ** [GOLDEN GOAT] With flavors of fruit, citrus, and bit of spice that immediately lifts the spirit, Golden Goat is one of tastiest strains you'll try. It's a very strong medicine but is a tranquil alertness, giving an enlightening attitude that isn’t jittery or distressing.
Be well and ring that bell!
