Track Notes

  • S1
    Mr. Don

The first theme is only slightly more somber than a typical Don jam, but otherwise fairly standard. The jam seems to be heading towards a Don ending until around the eleven minute mark, when Sammy begins to mess around with the rhythm and things become chaotic. After another synth-heavy theme, with shades of Shem-Rah, the jam breaks down again, and Sammy introduces a jungle beat. After some minor confusion, the other two step up and craft an atmospheric DnB jam that leads smoothly into the debut of Widow.

  • S1
    Story of the World

A Barber-dominated shuffling trance theme unfolds over the first several minutes. Magner contributes his synth waves, adding atmosphere. Around the 12-13 minute mark, their roles shift; Barber plays a steady background riff and Magner takes lead on the trance synths. In the closing minutes of the jam, Barber and Magner team up to build a massive peak.

  • S2
    Above The Waves

The jam begins as a steady trance jam, unlike the dubbed out versions that dominated fall 1999. Barber stays in the background and Magner layers on synth waves over his trance leads, creating an atmospheric effect. The jam builds in energy to a small crescendo around the 9-10 minute mark, after which it breaks down slightly and shifts in tone. The jam then builds up to a monstrous uncomposed major key peak before breaking down a second time, and beginning to move towards Crystal Ball territory.
