Is this complete? I can sware they closed with 'Run Like Hell'. Gonna have to ask Spolansky(sp).
Incredible, 2 and a 1/2 hour non-stop hungry, maniacal, young Biscuits at their favorite New England spot; both old and new HG <- 100% speculation :)
I must commence by stating how good the Miracle Orchestra is and especially was at that period (they opened the show). The jam scene was at it's very best peak(IMO) between '94 and '99. Insane talent...every weekend top acts for $12 bucks 4 hours of music. You might have seen MO at Lemonwheel sidestage as well as playing at a the wedding of a couple of people in Phish's crew. Get their Live volumes as well as their debut. Hot hot hot.
They really had cool, weird, odd and now flown away in terms of those setlist in '98 and still working out the combos etc...Also, the gear got kicked up a notch or 4 during this time. The difference between the Biscuits of '97 to '98 was immense.
The SBD I have of this show is missing the encore unfortunately with a hard cut after "Stone ~> Waltz" but filled the rest with the crowd source from Matt S.
The opening Helix is the kind we like a lot :) The middle jam brings the bumps from the goose pretty nicely. LOVE standalone Helix. Dribble is the next highlight with Barber loosing his mind...very young and energetic solo/jam. Kinda short but again, a clean standalone version if a little compact. 'Betty Boop' = just like the album(Uncivilized) version to a T. Tension and release towards the heavenly crescendo of ecstasy. The song that got me into this mayhem :) That album came out right around this time...I'm pretty sure. Highlight of the night is Basis. This is in my top 3 of all time. Yes, also cause I was there but I still hold to that. (who cares Pace?) I know, I know. Please go to the archive and just play this Basis and report to central command. Shimmy is very good with Mags in Cpt. Kirk's chair here. Nuts at 8:31 ish. Love Barfly. Great version yet kinda typical. The place went bonkers in the encore when the beginning of I-Man worked itself out. Terrific version with THE best Barber section of the night behind 'Basis'
Sorry for the lack of detail in this review. But it would be nice to have more fans listen to this Heli and Basis.
Rating: 7.5 / 10 or 4 / 5 as noted. MVP: Sammy (all) ; Mags/Barber (most)
Love Will See You Through.....
ps - Shared Work Problem 1:
Mike,Joe,and Bill are painting a fence.
The fence can be painted if
Mike and Joe work together for 4 hours, and Bill works alone for 2 hours or if
Mike and Joe work together for 2 hours, and Bill works alone for 5 hours, or if
Mike works alone for 6 hours, Joe works alone for 2 hours, and Bill works alone for 1 hours.
How much time does it take for each man working alone to complete the painting?
