Wow, not sure how I didn't listen to this sbd last year other than possibly skipping it as a festival set? Pretty cool listening back to 2022 shows now that the Space Opera songs have fully grown into their own. Anyway, it's great. This is a super sized 3 hour set, hardly a tossed off 80 minute set for a half-interested fest crowd.

I-Man>WIC>Tourists is a pretty unimpeachable 56 minutes of music. The dance jam out of Tourists is one of several highlights here, with Magner probing the melody with his most 8 Bit-sounding patches. Who's In Charge is not nearly as aggro as it tends to be now, which is interesting. Allen takes charge on a lot of this show, it feels; the e-kit really seems to be dictating the direction of many of the jams. Not a bad thing for a fest set.

Really, the vast majority of the jamming in this show is high octane untz. There are barely any mid-tempo jams that aren't explicitly part of a build except for the Moshi jam which seems to be a bit of a palette cleanser. It's especially great to see so many confident, exploratory jams with the newer songs.

I'm giving this a 5 because just about everything's lined up, including the SQ on the board. In reality, it's probably more like a 4.75 that I'm pretty comfortable rounding up on. The composed sections of the new songs still come across a little wooden (APOA is a bit cringey until the jam gets underway, for instance) and there are a few moments where the communication isn't all the way there but I think you could put this show on for the unconverted and they'd be sold long before they had a complaint about the botched parts. I am confident this will be a set we point back to years from now as an exemplar of the Space Opera era sound. Even the vocals are by and large pretty good.

The radio station that played this live… quoted “3 hours 1 song, just kept goin n goin” lol yeah that’s how we do MFers b4L. So about an hour into the show they cut to another band but we emailed them like maniacs and they gave us the last hour. Lots of good material hea LFG

The "Tourists ~> Abraxas ~> Space Train ~> Moshi-Fameus Jam" chunk is meat with the beat here. Not a bad festy set but well, you know.

Marc has never sounded better on this bass. It can be a softer pillowy sound or straight up pluck n' pull like he played for War or the Meters...funky.

It's gonna be an awesome summer. Saw Kamasi Washington last night so I'm still flying.

perfect July 4th and early summer strain::: [Bruce Banner #3] Not quite as THC-heavy as Chiquita Banana at 20%, this hybrid strain nonetheless packs a punch. Bred from OG Kush and Strawberry Diesel, Bruce Banner #3 is known for its fast-acting effects which lean towards invigorating. This motivating strain is popular for freaks spreading this heavenly herb throughout a 4 hour show including pre & post game festivities. Peace & Be Well.

Nothing to add for now except that the tagline should read: Plumas County Fairgrounds, not "Country".

Thanks for all that you all do, Have been using the BIP over PT for setlists for a good while now.
