Most of Strobelights here is forgettable. It’s not bad, just not good either. Feeling Twisted is about the same. The jam out of the Strobelights ending has some really cool parts. Around the 8-minute mark, Allen switches time all e-drums including the kick, and this is pretty cool for the remainder. Caterpillar is a catastrophe. It’s clear they were uncomfortable segueing into the beginning here. The jam out is fairly mundane. The Minions jam is pretty nice, though Brownstein is basically just playing Kamaole Sands for much of it.
The Papercut jam is godawful. Lots of screechy Barber with zero direction. Gross. Ball is jamless with the exception of a brief type 1. Memphis jams are forgettable. The Gangster jam is not terrible. It sounds for a while like they’re headed toward Helix, and they build a decent major key peak. This isn’t something I’d listen to again and again, but it is decent. They abruptly drop into Lunar, and I like the transition a lot. The jam out of Lunar is the standard dub jam for that time, and this is a particularly cool one. They develop a very spaced out jam that Magner fills with psychedelic vibes on the top end. This is great. The first AC2B jam is okay. Second jam is forgettable. Encore is all standard.
Highlights: Strobelights (2), Lunar**
