Ten-ta-tive::

{adjective: tentative not certain or fixed; provisional.

Rumors isn't simply a Fleetwood Mac album but they do get around and supposedly a couple members got absolutely pancaked in San Diego and barely made this soundcheck and were hurting. Take it for what it's worth because they are err were professionals at that type of thing. But getting dosed is another ballgame altogether. Heard it from a crew member for what it's worth.

Ever notice Marc's bass sounded like a wild boar / pig during certain songs? (i.e. Little Lai 1st jam ) OINK!

-->Love these S & M openers. One of the better openers for a Biscuits show. When it kicks in, you're all smiles and grateful to attend another show. A great tune to see where the vibes of the place and people are at. Cosmic Space Disco....this one is short with no jam but hey, at least they are warmed up lol. Nothingburger unfortunately at under 6 minutes. --> ditto with Rockafella....yikes. Just over 8 minutes...no jam. --> I kinda wish 'On Time' was just a straight up instrumental, it would be a great vehicle in and out of segment chunks but then again there is a lot we could wish for. I personally don't like this tune except for the middle jam here which is pretty good. electronica > barber.

OK boys...you awake yet :)

--> ''Little Lai ~> Caves(w. Snoop Dogg samples of "'Mission Cleopatra'') ~> Little Lai'' {30 minutes total} 3:18 1st LLai breakoff: Marc's wild boar bass is cool...the jam is now at 7 minutes in with just a repetitive cycled rhythm. Thankfully Mr. Mags adds fine color and aural tapestry with perfect selections sort of like Pink Floyd's opening organ/keys on the "Shine On..." opening pre-lyric sectio, for a little while lol. great segue into "Caves" , I like this combo, let's hope for a little more inspiration. Very cool Snoop Dogg samples halfway through but can it rescue this song?...this set? The jam that starts towards the end at 9 minutes or so is a little interesting with Magner slipping in some tasty licks while Barber overlaps occasional solos. It's ok. The opening to 'LLai 2'' is good. This is the ending jam and Jon does lay down a nice n' nasty ending jam. --> Spectacle normal. good. but normal. I just find such beauty in the lyrics and melody so an average 'Spec' is still welcomed.

Set 1 rating: 5.25 / 10 highlights:: set two is coming(?)

2: --> ''Mirrors > Orch Theme > Digital Buddha(completion of San Diego)'' {40 minute segment} Looks like an interesting trio...let's dive in! Mirrors, only Marc could write such a love song. If you want a kick ass 'Mirrors" -> "Basis" from Stubbs in Sept is the best, alongside Jan.19-2010 to start off set 2. Anyway, we gently row away from "Mirrors" at around the 9 minute mark and that's when things get groovy, baby. Lovin' this evil, bass-led jam. Everyone is adding great quality. It's actually a very heartfelt solo by Barber in the jam, very tasteful, very beautiful. Big ending into slow roll as we enter: --> 'Orch Theme' Untz! livetronica, 80's themed cosmic disco. We'll take it! Nice middle eastern patch by Barber....a sitar patch? I'm not a musician not my expertise here :) but it works... The familiarity kicks in at 4 minutes of this 17 minute version. 13 minutes to fn' lose it!!!! Let's go! Of course Allen has been masterclassing it all night as per usual. OK, this is the jam of the night so far. Nice and funky to end it off as we float into the jam>ending of last night's... --> 'Digital Buddha' guys, they are not having a good night. them the breaks and no one feels worse than the band I promise. The next night in 'Frisco was DYNAMITE! --> the debut of ''Fish out of Water'' next --> ''Dog House Favorite Party'' yes. A standalone 21 minute ''House Dog''! Standard BUT technically great Blissco jamming halfway in. With 7 minutes left on the clock the final jam lifts off. A very good jam with Barber working his ass off as they truly find that gel. Again...OK to good version. For 2009....not so bueno. Spoiled we are. --> ''Highwire'' A 7 minute Highwire to close the show!? dude. nc --> "Mr. Don" encore!! This cooks with Crisco. Lovely version. Very bluesy and fun. This might be the best tune of the night.

Set 2 rating: 7.05 / 10

Could this very well be the worse show of the year? F the negativity 'fore they deserve a bad night. We'll leave it at that. Oh...the sound is great.

Happy Trails!

Well I'm sure I'd feel much worse if I weren't under such heavy sedation.
