Another Perfection Section Worth The Mention Yielding Affection(below in part 2)

{part 1} Dwaddle this. :)

As bad as 'I Remember Ray'? , 'Ulua'? , 'Radiator'? 'Vacation'? (not touching the new ones from '19 to present either). neh, I ain't going there, yet I just did. Every band is allowed a "Jennifer Dances", "Samba In The Rain" etc... The crescendo Barber "through a wurlitzer envelope" sounding solo for the last half is fn' good! Especially for a debut, the best version. The segue by Marc into Trucker's is excellent. These Fayetteville & Eureka Springs hippies weren't ready for this combo lol. Btw, it's one of the best cities in the south; along with Athens, Fairhope AL, Asheville and Berea KY!. At least that I've invaded.

{part 2} !! Astronaut [26:52] ~} Little Shimmy In A Conga Line [20:36] ~} Caves Of The East [15:22] ~} Astronaut [6:40] !!

-Astronaut- Lovely SITA jam as Barber scale solos while Magner does his 2009 magic, giving it all in accents, sweeps & psytrance offerings...not hogging a thing. Marc is the perfect technician, simply keeping time in a funky way. 11 minutes in, BOOM!!!! Dance party funkytime, a common theme this fall. Exciting high notes in a loop while Aucoin(his last name translates to "on the corner" btw, I'm half french canadian, the mucked up half; so he was made for jazz fusion a la Miles' great album of the same name. Everything is one) the Andromedan slices the high hat and thumps the bass drum interchangeably. Wowwy, we're only halfway into this Astronaut with 12 minutes to go! The next 3-4 minutes consists of nothing mind-blowing but a very interesting psychedelic groove nonetheless. Allen, of course, helps the liftoff at around 19 minutes with the BnD section jamming nicely in perfect synchro. Eleanor Rigby jams here but sorta not. You'll see, the last notes go up instead of down(not a musician :)...Barber notices and follows. Reminds me of those killer early 70's Jerry and Merl shows. The final 3 minutes is a simply put kick ass '90 jam on full starting the "Shimmy" metamorphosis. ~>>

~> "LSIACL"(inv) High energy, fast pace jam as we link up arms in the conga line. We've seen some very sexy things on the dance floor over the years during this R rated dance. Psychedelic Psalsa Baby! We get the usual Shimmy midway section. Yet it's all played with extra vinegar. In '09 they were finally kicking ass in the smaller college towns and such. They were almost always sell outs, if not, a good 85-90% filled. I remember like it was yesterday, everyone knew on the other tours that you should get your ass to a Bisco show during this '07 to '09, especially '09 time because they were the best touring band in the land. Full stop. Yes, Phish came back, WSP had Jimmy, UM were also hot but nothing like a Biscuits show. And if we are all being honest with ourselves here, the candy was potent, the trips were plentiful and people got downright sideways in 2.0....it attracted the nastiest goobers in the country but I wouldn't change it for a second. Inverted Shimmies are the shit! 3/4 into this Shimmy and we are fully engulfed in a terrific psychedelic storm. I MUST give Mr. Mags and Andromedan Allen the 5 star medal or honor for this Shimmy. It's a "just go listen" type sitch. ~> 'Caves' This middle easter fav starts in it's great familiar groove. The 5:30 in trip hop Beastie Boys samples section ties it in well. This is a crazy good version for sure. The bottom end by Marc is heavy as the keys and guitar poke in their grooves back n forth, in and out. A nicely chilled synth groove. Since were u-turning back to the Astronaut ending we better get cookin'. And cookin' they do. It's great that this superb ending segues into Astronaut to but for a good length of time... Mags kills then Barber's best solo of the night(debatable sorta), ends the night.

All praise to the 2nd set. show: 7.5/10 section: 8.90/10

much love!
