Nughuffer begins the show with no story really, just Brownstein riffing about how Jamaica is similar to Zex Sea. Anyway, the jam gets fast, dark, and trancy right out of the gate. This never really hits on anything all that interesting, despite a full 15 minutes of jamming. Lunar Pursuit, on the other hand, has some great stuff. The Lunar jam features absolutely fantastic communication from everybody in the band, and a whole lot of fuzz. Barber and Brownstein are both heavily distorted, and this multi-chord theme feels almost rehearsed at certain points, as their communication really feels like they’re reading each other’s minds at different parts. Neat stuff. The jam out of Glastonbury is very long (15+ minutes) and features a lot of e-drums from Allen (including thirst quenchers, yay). However, this just never landed on anything remotely interesting. Story’s jam is also completely generic. Meh.

Rock Candy feels like it is a lot of potential, but they just never quite get there. I’m not sure what was off here, and they even have a multi-chord theme later in the jam, but this just never quite gels the way it should. Shelby and Crix are three more jams that just do very little for me. GIG is also mediocre here. Buddha has a VI-VII-I progression in the middle of the jam, and the riff Barber comes in with a 9:20 is just great. This whole jam is really great. Mastermind has no jam, and fortunately we were only forced to hear this song a limited number of times.

Highlights: Lunar**, Buddha**
