Astronaut begins with a 3-4 minute long ambient jam. I love this and always love it when they do this. Every. Single. Time. They extend the SITA section a lot here, and they actually do some real jamming. They can’t seem to decide if they want to jam out of this or return to the song, and after a lot of indecision they decide they will, and head toward Voices. This turns into a lovely little happy-go-lucky jam as the band gets closer to the Voices intro. Blissco? Maybe. Voices > KOTW has no jam. Shimmy is weird. They do a mini “middle” jam after the composition but before the first time of two that they play the ending section. This was weird. The actual jam here (technically second Shimmy jam) starts around the 11-minute mark. The Shimmy jam from there does very little for me. The jam out of Abyss is essentially non-existent. Most of the Abyss jam into Cyclone is pretty laid back, spacey trance jamming. This is generally solid, and I’ll note this as a highlight simply for the fun phrasing Magner has littered throughout this jam. The Cyclone jam is forgettable and downright boring. Munchkin is forgettable, as is Home Again. The jam out of Jigsaw doesn’t get much time to develop before the segue to Camera B. They really tried to force this song in 2006 for some reason. I really don’t get why. The jam back into Jigsaw is again, forgettable. They really phoned in the second half of this show.
